Electronic Employment Processes at Carilion Health System

Presenters:

This Carilion team will present on the automated HR achievements implemented at Carilion Health System Human Resources. "HR-e360" automated processes are specific to departments such as Employment, Development and Compliance. “HR-e360” began as an e-theory which has resulted in an e-solution.
Due to the implementation of “HR-e360," Carilion Health System achieved significant process improvement and reduced post-to-offer time by 20 days in 2002. The automated processes include reduction in manual processes and data duplication between multiple systems, hard copy forms and duplicate applications; imaging; and replacing 42 Excel spreadsheets and reports with automated reports that are provided by the e-system.

We have all experienced the joys and challenges of orientating recent high school graduates into our workforce. Over the past year, the Workforce Readiness Committee and many RVSHRM volunteers have visited students at William Byrd High School to bring realistic work perspectives and expectations into the high school. William Byrd students, faculty members and RVSHRM volunteers will participate in a panel discussion to highlight the outcomes of he recent program initiatives and illustrate what is one the horizon.
