Have you ever been accused of: not understanding the business, being vague or fluffy, speaking "HR Mumbo Jumbo," or making things overly complicated? Afterwards, do you sometimes think - "maybe... but in order to be effective, some things are just... well, complex."
The burden of complexity is naturally occurring and exists in all organizations. During this special 2-hour interactive workshop, Scott will begin by demonstrating:
- The cost of complexity in organizations
- The root cause of complexity and the factors that feed it
- Methods for harnessing complexity while increasing effectiveness
Next, we will focus on the most important skill HR Professionals can use to overcome complexity, build credibility as a business partner, and drive business results for the organization. Be ready for a highly engaging, hands-on, and skill building experience that can change the game.
Get into the conversation early with the Leadership Insights group at LinkedIn where you can begin discussing these topics with our presenter, Scott Thompson, before the meeting occurs. Go to http://tiny.cc/linsights to join the group.
Scott Thompson is an Organizational Development professional with over 15 years of experience. Currently, Scott serves Advance Auto Parts as their Director of Management Development, provides consulting services to small-businesses and nonprofits, is a member of the business faculty and guest lectures at multiple universities, is pursuing a PhD in Business Administration, and is a student of Structural Dynamics.
Scott's career has included global service to the YMCA, leading training-focused growth strategies for Strayer University, and leading training functions for other fortune 500 companies. He lives in Roanoke with his wife and two children.
