Education and Certification Scholarships
Now Available for SHRM Members

The SHRM Foundation Regional Scholarship Program is a flexible awards program designed to assist working SHRM members in meeting their professional development goals. Individuals may apply for either an Education Scholarship or a Certification Scholarship, and applicants may specify the amount of money they are requesting up to $3,000. RVSHRM Job Data Bank Broadcast E-mail Guidelines:

The request must be initiated by an individual who is an active RVSHRM Chapter member and relate to an HR position, relate directly to the member or the member's spouse, or a Student member of a SHRM chapter sponsored by RVSHRM. Positions can be submitted by using the Job Bank link. Contact Sharon Bowers at sbowers22@cox.net for assistance.

RVSHRM Broadcast E-mail Guidelines:

RVSHRM members may request a broadcast e-mail be sent on their behalf to fellow RVSHRM members requesting information or assistance in job/company related issues. The Board of Directors reserves the right to review and approve all requests prior to sending to the membership. All requests are to be submitted using the Request for Advice link.

Broadcast list removal*:

Any RVSHRM member who wishes to have his/her name removed from the broadcast e-mail list may do so by changing their email setting in their membership information.

*NOTE: Members who are not on the broadcast e-mail list will not receive notification of meeting information or newsletter postings.

Guidelines for RVSHRM Meeting Sponsorship:

Meeting sponsorship opportunities are available to members at a cost of $100 and to non-members at a cost of $150. Sponsors are permitted to set up display table outside of the meeting room, and will be recognized during the membership by the meeting moderator. Organizations interested in sponsoring a membership meeting should contact Jeffery Van Doren, VP Programs at 540-510-3054 or by e-mail at jeffery@leclairryan.com.

Guidelines for RVSHRM's Co-sponsorship of Educational Events:

RVSHRM will co-sponsor events that can be used by members for re-certification credits (CEU's), and offers RVSHRM members a special discount off the regular event attendance fee. RVSHRM will only publicize via broadcast e-mail events which are sponsored or co-sponsored by the Chapter.
